Baggage trolleys are available for a fee of €1 on the arrival and departure levels.

How do I get to the check-in counters?

Car garage services

During your trip, our partner companies will be pleased to give your car a service.
For example, inspections, tyre services, oil changes and repairs can be carried out
for the BMW, Mini and Ford brands.

Car rental

The counters of car rental firms can be found on the arrivals level (level 0). Rental cars are also placed on the arrivals level, ready to be picked up in car park P1. Cars are also returned on level 0 – the parking areas of the various car rental companies are signposted. When you return a car outside the operating hours of the rental company’s offices, you can drop the car key and documentation in the locker of the appropriate company at the West exit (level 0).

Cash terminals (ATM)

Dortmunder Volksbank, Sparkasse Dortmund and Postbank ATMs can be found in the terminal at Dortmund airport (arrival and departure levels). The ATMs accept EC/Maestro cards issued by all banks as well as Eurocard and VISA credit cards.

Conference rooms

Three conference rooms for up to 80 persons are available next to the restaurant on the gallery level (level 2). On request, telephone, fax and complete AV equipment are also available. For information about reservations and prices, please call: +49 (0)231/9 21 38 30.

Disabled visitors

Should you need help in getting into or out of the aircraft, please mention this when you book your flight.

Parking: Dortmund Airport offers disabled passengers the opportunity to park for free in the P1 and P2 car parks in the spaces set aside. A precondition for this is that you have an official disabled person’s pass. With non-German documents, you can enquire about validity at the Information desk.

Important: the free exit ticket will only be issued on the day of the return flight directly at the information counter – the air ticket also needs to be presented. Please understand that it is not possible to reimburse you at a later stage.

Gastronomy & Shops

 

Bella Vista

At Bella Vista, the airport restaurant on the gallery level (Level 2), you can enjoy à la carte dining. Worth a visit any time – even if you’re not travelling! Table reservations are taken on +49.231.9213-830.

East and West Bar & Shop

You can purchase refreshments, snacks, newspapers, confectionery and much more in the East Bar + Shop on the departure level (level 1) in the public area. You will also find a similarly wide range of goods in the West Bar + Shop once you have passed through security.

Heinemann Duty Free

Travellers with boarding cards can look forward to a wide, well-priced range of perfumes, cosmetics and body care products, spirits, tobacco and accessories at duty-free prices in the Heinemann Duty Free Shop. Heinemann Duty Free also offers its customers the special service of keeping their shopping until they return.

Goods that have already been paid for can be collected when you arrive at Dortmund Airport at the Duty Free Pick-up-Point (airport service, arrivals level). Products can also be ordered online using the Pre-Order Service, and collected at the Heinemann Duty Free Shop when you depart from Dortmund.

General Aviation Terminal – GAT

Check-in for private and business passengers takes place in Dortmund Airport's own independent general aviation terminal. Further information about the GAT area as well as contact information can be found in the section General Aviation.

Kiss & Fly-Zone

The „Kiss & Fly“-Zone can only be used free of charge for picking up or setting down passengers. There is a fee required for parking: 10 minutes costs € 1.

Lost & Found

Have you lost something in the plane or in the terminal? Is your luggage damaged or not to be found upon arrival? Our employees in the lost and found offi ce on the arrivals level (level 0) will be pleased to help you. Opening hours: daily from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m.

Taxis

Taxis can be found on the arrivals level (level 0) next to the main entrance – there are usually enough cars available.

Travel documents

Passengers leaving or entering Germany must have valid identity documents or a passport with them. This also remains the case for trips to the countries of the Schengen agreement. German citizens whose documentation (child or adult identity card or passport) has expired can, in exceptional cases, still present a travel document to the German police as a replacement pass immediately before crossing the border.

Terminal opening hours

The Terminal is open daily, from 3.30 a.m. – 12 midnight. Overnight stays in the Terminal are not permitted.

Visitors’ viewing area

The viewing area on the gallery level (level 2) provides a fascinating view of activity on the apron. Admission is free.

Weekend rate for P1

Take advantage of the weekend rate for the car park P1 directly at the terminal and park your car on Saturdays und Sundays between 10 a.m. and 6 p.m. for the maximum rate of € 3. More than 20 travel agencies are partly open for you also on Sundays.

Prepaid cards for WLAN access (€3 for 1 hour and €5 for 2 hours) can be purchased at the information desk.

Women‘s parking

Parking spaces for women are located in underground car park P1 at all levels (level 0 to -2) close to the entrances to the terminal.
